Ashok Khosla statement for the Earth Charter and ESD

On June 15th in the afternoon, a side event featured a discussion on Education for Sustainable Development, predominantly in University education, but also about the general importance of Education for Sustainable Development. Rick Clugston, ECI Council member, was on the panel, as was Ashok Khosla, ECI Affiliate, President of the World Conservation Union (IUCN), and a Special Advisor to the Rio+20 Secretary General. After the meeting, Ashok Khosla offered a short statement to us about the importance of the Earth Charter for Education for Sustainable Development.
